"Mother in Isreal Passes to Reward"
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth (Houston) Bishop passed to her reward at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paralea Jackson, Monday evening at the advanced age of 66 years, 5 months and 23 days. Mrs. Bishop has been sick for some time and her death was not unexpected.
She leaves a husband, ten children living as follows: Hugh M, W.O., D.C., W.A,. Mark, Mrs.Mary Early, Mrs. Paralea Jackson, Mrs. Josie (Bishop) Stout, Mrs. Ella Hawkins, and Mrs. Talitha Coward. All of the children live in this county except W.A., and Mrs. Stout who live in Oklahoma.
Mrs. Bishop is a life long member of the Missionary Baptist Church and died in that faith. She was buried at Antioch Tuesday. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.A. Allison.
