BLACK ROCK -- Judy Lynn Ragsdale, 55, of Black Rock died Sunday, Nov. 28, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.

Born in Newport, she was raised in the Alicia and Swifton areas and moved to Black Rock five years ago. She was a certified nursing assistant and a beautician, a member of Hoxie Church of Christ and a former member of Swifton Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Ragsdale of the home; two sons, Steve L. Johnson of Walnut Ridge and Jeramy L. Johnson of Swifton; three sisters, Glenna Shoun of Tulsa, Okla., Billie Jean Ervin of Newport and Wanda Eckiss of Foristell, Mo.; three brothers, George Caughron of Phenix City, Ala., Bill Whitley of Mountain View and J.C. Caughron of Cabot; and five grandchildren, Lydia Johnson, Steven Blake Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Taylor Johnson and Baby Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Savina Holder Caughron.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Swifton Church of Christ, with Darrell Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in Strangers Home Cemetery under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Pallbearers will be J.L. Wright, Jim Rorex, Paul Ragsdale Jr., Tim Nicholson, Steve Jones and David Blakney.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
