Donald Lee Owens
Donald Lee Owens, 71, of Hoxie, died Aug. 16, 2008, in Memphis.
He lived most of his life in Lawrence County and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Walnut Ridge. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired factory worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Virginia Cook Owens; an infant sister; and a granddaughter, Sloane Owens.
Survivors include a son, David Owens, Bono; a daughter, Marie Ford, Jonesboro; a sister, Anita Duncan, Walnut Ridge; four grandchildren, his former wife, Betty; a special friend, Barbara; and a close friend, Butch Horton.
Graveside service was Monday at 3 p.m. at Strangers Home Cemetery, near Alicia, with Ryan Johnston officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
