Donald Eugene "Don E" Hardaway son of Dr. James E Hardaway and Lucy Belle (Herren) Hardaway. Lola Marie (Harp) Hardaway daughter of John James Harp and Ada Elvira (Milligan) Harp.

Donald Eugene "Don E" Hardaway was a long time civil servant as Lawrence County Tax Assessor, Circuit Clerk, Treasurer and County Clerk.

Lola Marie Harp Hardaway, 92,of Strawberry, AR., passed away Friday, October 21, 2011, at Batesville, AR.

Born Aug. 13, 1919, in Strawberry, AR., the daughter of Jim and Ada Milligan Harp.

She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1946 with a degree in economics. She was a schoolteacher for 36 years, teaching home economics at Lynn and Strawberry for 25 years. She spent the last 11 years of her career teaching science at Walnut Ridge School. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Hardaway; and a brother, Allison Harp.

Survivors include a son, Benson Hardaway and wife Connie, Batesville; three grandchildren, Doyne Hardaway, Lori Kimbrough and Beth Ezell; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral was held at the Strawberry Church of Christ. Burial was in Penn Cemetery under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Lynn.
