Laura Faye McBroom, age 87, of Clarkridge passed away Monday, January 3, 2005, at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was born October 16, 1917, in Longville, Louisiana, to Charles Lester and Floy Marie Ford. She was a retired postmaster for the Clarkridge Post Office, a member of the Clarkridge Fire Department Auxiliary and Fire Belles, the False Alarm Quilters, the Mountain Home Quilt Guild and the Clarkridge Baptist Church.
She is survived by: 2 daughters: Deirdre McCracken: Mountain Home; and Elaine Mitchell: Green Forrest, Arkansas; a son: Robert L. Taylor (and wife, Janet): Weaverville, California; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her dog, Sable. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde McBroom; a son: William R. Taylor: and an infant daughter: Bonnie McBroom.
