Lois May Henderson, age 93 of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Norfork passed away Monday, November 5, 2007 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. She was born March 9, 1914 in Calico Rock, Arkansas to the late Robert Henry and Tressie Mary (Smith) Lucy.
Mrs. Henderson married James “Ed” Henderson July 24, 1929 in Culp, Arkansas. She was a retired cook for the Norfork schools. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, cooking and had a great love for all her family.
Mrs. Henderson is survived by four daughters: Earnestine Smith and husband Bill of Huntsville, Alabama, LaVern Lindsey of Carthage, Missouri, Dorothy McCoy and husband Jerry of Carthage, Missouri and Rudene Schuh of Mountain Home, twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, a half-sister: Anna Gay Beard and a half-brother Elzory Lucy. She was preceded in death by her husband: James “Ed” Henderson, a daughter: Edna May Henderson, a son: Harold Henderson, her stepmother: Effie Moore Lucy, two brothers: Kenneth and Henry Lucy, one sister: Marie Lucy, two half-brothers, two stepbrothers and one stepsister.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lee Clark officiating. A visitation will be held Wednesday from Noon – 9:00 p.m. with the family-receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
