Tom S. Richardson Funeral Service Held Sunday P.M.
On Sunday afternoon, April 26, funeral services for Thomas Samuel Richardson, who died Friday after a few days illness, were held at the Bloomfield church with Rev. C.D. Purlee, pastor of the Siloam Springs Christian Church, officiating. A quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Trammell, Mrs. Dick Carter and Callie White sang "How Beautiful Heaven Must Be" and "Death Is Only a Dream." There were many beautiful flowers, and the church was filled to overflowing with friends and relatives who came to pay their last respects.
Mr. Richardson was born in Cane Hill, Ark., on January 19, 1877, and came to Bloomfield with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Richardson, when he was about four years of age. He was aged 59 years at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow, three sons, Fred, Clyde and Ray, all of Gentry; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Hall of Decatur, and Mrs. Marie McLemore of Gentry; one brother, William Richardson of Gentry; one sister, Mrs. Della Wilson of Tahieguah, Okla.; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were: William Hall, Ben White, John January, Jeff Eldridge, Zeke Clark and Frank Barney. Burial was made in Bloomfield cemetery with Wassons in charge.
