IRELAND, William Wesley - Dr. W.W. Ireland, a retired physician of Gentry, died at his home there early Monday morning. He had lived there for nearly 12 years. Funeral services Wednesday afternoon were in charge of the Masons of which order he had been a member for over 50 years.

Death has again put an end to the earthly career of one of Gentry's old and highly respected citizens, Dr. William Wesley Ireland, who passed away at his home here at 3:30 a.m. Monday morning following a short illness at the age of 72 years, three months and 28 days. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday afternoon with Rev. T.A. Martin officiating and burial was had in the Gentry cemetery under the direction of Carpenter Bros., the local Masonic lodge having charge of service at the grave, Dr. Ireland having been an active member of the Masonic order for the last fifty-two years of his life. The deceased was born at Commerce, Mo. Feb. 12, 1857 and was reared to manhood at that place. He had been a resident of Gentry for many years. He leaves of his immediate family to mourn his departure his wife, one son, R.C. Ireland, Cache, Ill., one daughter, Mrs. Haslauer, Olive Branch, Ill. and eleven grandchildren, besides an almost countless number of friends in Gentry and other places where he made his home. Dr. Ireland was graduated from the University of Nashville, Tenn. and the St. Louis Medical College and spent practically all his life in the practice of medicine.
