Jesse Born 18 Dec 1879 in Bradley County, Arkansas and Died 6 Jan 1961 in Saline County, Arkansas.
Dr. Armstrong was a son of Jesse Barksdale and Frances Elizabeth Lawton Armstrong. He attended medical school in Cincinnati, OH and graduated from Georgia College of Eclectic Medicine and Surgery in 1908. He practiced medicine in Bradley County from 1910-1958. On June 20, 1918, he married Ina Clora Ferguson, a daughter of Thomas Summer and Ellie Fair Jane Ruffin Ferguson. They were the parents of two daughters, Ellie Frances Armstrong, who married Samuel Inman Bell, and Bethel Jane Armstrong, who married James Patterson Johnson.
