The Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home, Arkansas, March 3, 2005:
Mildred Norma Wheat, 88, of Mountain Home passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Care Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 24, 1916, in Baxter County to John Franklin and Rosetta (Guthrie) Landrum. She married Henry Wheat Dec. 27, 1936, in Henderson. He preceded her in death in 1988. She was a member of Mountain Home Church of Christ.
Mrs. Wheat is survived by two sons, Roger Wheat and wife, Judy, of Buda, Texas, and Mitchell Wheat and wife, Sharon, of Asheville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Mike Wheat, Matthew Wheat, Stacey (Wheat) Cullen and Stephanie (Wheat) Rogers; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Max Wheat; two brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be noon-9 p.m. today at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. A funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Roller Funeral Home with Ken Burton officiating.
