ROGERS — Mary May Blood, 92, of Rogers passed away May 8, 2013, in Rogers. Mary was born May 31, 1920, in Beckham County, Okla., the daughter of Burrel and Trixie Ragsdale Welch.

She retired from Daisy BB Manufacturing in 1985 after 27 years. Mary enjoyed working in her yard, collecting Denim Days figurines and antiques. She was a member of the Baptist church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nelson Blood Sr., he passed away June 7, 1955, they were married Oct. 21, 1935, in Pineville, Mo.; and their three sons, Sonny Blood, Burrel Blood and Kenneth Blood; her parents; one sister, Lena Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Cabaniss of Rogers; eight grandchildren, Elden Blakeley of Rogers, Becky Treon of Frederick, Md., Doris Evans (Diane), Denise Fair, all of Bella Vista, David Blood (Amy) of Centerton, Danny Blood (Phyllis) of Heavener, Okla., Paul Blood (Bonnie) of Colcord, Okla., Carol Sweeney (Kent) of Gentry; two brothers, Earl Welch of Peoria, Ariz., and Murl Welch of Ada, Okla.; one sister, Sadie Wells of Clinton, Okla.; 14 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers, with Chaplain John Pate officiating.
