Mr. Chenault was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Maude Ray Chenault; daughter, Verla Morton and first wife Wanda Dale Wray Chenault. He retired from Reynolds Metal Company. Mr. Chenault served as alderman on the Benton City Council for 20 years under Mayors George Wagner, Rodney Larson, Jim Presnell and Mitch McDonald. On committees including Finance, Personnel, Grievance, Utilities, Parks and Recreation, Solid Waste Management, Animal Control, Public Utilities and the Water Users Association. He served in the Navy during WWII as Gunners Mate on the ShangriLa Aircraft Carrier. He is survived by his wife, Ann of 34 years; daughter, Mary Riggins and husband Charles of Silver Springs, Maryland; two step-sons, Steven Flory and wife Sharon of Fort Smith, Mark Flory of Cherokee Village; two step-daughters, Claudia Whitmire of Benton, Kay Hankins and husband Danny of Benton; three grandsons; five granddaughters; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. The Chenault Reservoir was named in his honor for his dedication and service to our community.
