Wife of Jewell Milgrim. Daughter of Ira Datus Bridges and Elva (McBride) Bridges.
Fern Milgrim, 86, of Walnut Ridge, formerly of Black Rock, died Feb. 26, 2007, at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.
Born Jan. 26, 1920, at Black Rock, she was the daughter of Ira and Elva McBride Bridges. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Milgrim, on Jan. 2, 1995, whom she married in 1938 at Black Rock.
Survivors include a son, Charles Milgrim, Black Rock; two brothers, Owen Bridges, Black Rock, and Mass Bridges, Loves Park, Ill.; three grandchildren, Wayne Milgrim, Tommy Milgrim and Shelia Webb; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral is Saturday at 2 p.m. in Higginbotham Chapel with Bro. Roger Brand officiating. Burial will be in Kelly Cemetery, near Black Rock, under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.
Visitation is Friday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
