John Perry Turpin died at the hospital in Siloam Springs Tuesday, May 25, 1926, aged 81 years. He leaves surviving him two brothers, F.F. Turpin of Memphis, Tenn., who was with him at the time of his death; Joe Turpin of Indiana and a sister, Mrs. harriett Redman of California, Mo. Mr. Turpin had been a resident of Gentry for the past ten years during which time he made a great number of friends who are sad because of his passing away. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon, followed by interment in the city cemetery. Rev. D.F. Lillsrd delivered the funeral address.
