SPRINGDALE — Bettis Hale, 82, of Springdale died Jan. 19, 2007, at Westwood Health and Rehab in Springdale. She was born March 27, 1924, in Wann, Okla. to John S. and Dorothy K. Reiffer Brooks. She moved to the area in 2000. She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Caney, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold (Pete) Hale in 2001.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Hale and wife Kathryn of La Veta, Colo., and Greg Hale of Coffeyville, Kan.; one daughter Sherry Setser and husband Bill of Springdale; one brother Robert Brooks and wife Margaret of Fort Bragg, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel officiating.
