Wilma Caldwell, 83, of Benton died Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. She was born January 8, 1924, in Bradford, Arkansas, to the late Jessie and Winnie Curtis Bryant. Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Holland Chapel Baptist Church, a 58-year member of the Eastern Star, and a past member of the Arkansas Dental Association. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Headlee Caldwell of Benton; children, Betty Philamlee and husband Jim of Starkville, Mississippi, and Dwight Caldwell, Sr., and wife Norma of Dickson, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jimmy Philamlee, Greg Philamlee, Dwight Caldwell, Jr., and Monica Irving, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007, in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Rev. Jay Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow at New Rosemont Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Bryant, Tommy Pennington, Jeff Irving, Greg Philamlee, Jimmy Philamlee, and Dwight Caldwell, Jr. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening January 12th at the funeral home.
