Mrs. Opal Louise (Cureton) Willmuth, age 92 of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004 at Jonesboro. She was born May 5, 1912 in Cash, the daughter of William Allen and Dora Ann (Burns) Cureton. Mrs. Willmuth was a school teacher for 43 years in Craighead and Jackson Counties retiring in 1970 and was a member of the Swifton Church of Christ. She was a member of the Arkansas Education Association and a former member of the Newport Business and Professional Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Floyd Jessie Willmuth. Mrs. Willmuth is survived by two nephews, Tommy Cureton and Bill Cureton; three great-nephews, Michael Cureton, Alan Cureton and Scott Cureton; three great-nieces, Johnnye Sue Watkins, Sandra Stubblefield, and Elizabeth Highfill; and several great-great nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004 at Swifton Cemetery.
