"SHERIDAN — Zelma Ann Reed Alexander Foley, of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 10, 1928 at Dierks, Arkansas the daughter of the late William Amos and Luveda Viola Worthy Reed. She was a member of the Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church at Sheridan and was retired from Baldwin Electronics.
"Mrs. Foley died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Foley, brothers, Amos Reed, and Earnest Reed and sisters, Velma Griffith, Lois Turner, and Roxey Barnes.
"Survivors son, Homer Alexander of Bryant; daughters, Verlan and husband, Kenneth McCool of Sheridan, Linda and husband Bobby Kitchens of Malvern; stepchildren, Verna and husband, Ronnie Bragg of Bryant, Sandra Arrowood of Fayetteville, Carmon Alexander and husband, Stanley Moon of Louisville, Kentucky, Benny and Tana Alexander of Cabot; brother, Buddy Reed of Hot Springs; sister, Delma Abernathy of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Joshua Lee McCool, Christopher Kitchens, Stacey Howard, Brian Kitchens, Romar Alexander, Eloisa Alexander; step-grandchildren, Steven Bragg, Kimberly Bennett, Randi Roack, Jay Arrowood, Jason Alexander, and Gina Isaacs; six great-grandchildren, six stepgreat-grandchildren.
"Funeral Services are being delayed until Thursday, March 10, 2005 to allow her grandson, Sgt. Joshua McCool, whose tour of duty in Iraq is ending this week, to be able to attend the services. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Muddy Creek Church of God in Story, Arkansas with Bro. Kenneth Click and Bro. Curtis Abernathy officiating. Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery adjacent to the Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.
