Rex Cook, son of the late Carrie Steward Jones and stepson of the late Virgil Jones was born on December 16, 1938 in Norfork. He died on February 18, 2004 in Seymour, Missouri. He was 65 years old.
During his working years he worked as a Computer Analyst for Bendix Corporation and was a former Mayor of Calico Rock from 1995 to 1998. He served in the United States Army and was of the Church of Christ Faith.
Mr Cook was survived by: one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Danny Horton of Seymour, Missouri; one niece Melissa Dean of Fordland, Missouri; five great nephews; one great niece and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Steve Horton.
Graveside services were February 21 at the Roselawn Cemetery in Calico Rock, with Wayne Wood officiating. Pallbearers were: Ronnie Guthrie, John Dixon, Charlie Townsend, Danny Jenkins, Dennis Speak and Jay Dickson.
Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
