AVOCA — James Larry Kirkland, 63, of Avoca died April 28, 2005, at his home. He was born May 10, 1941, in Smithwick, Texas to Patrick Lowrey and Grade Ella Boultinghouse Kirkland. He moved to the area in 1967 from California. He was a retired self-employed roofer. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Daisha Thomas.
Survivors incluie his wife, Linda Cleo Richardson Kirkland, to whom he was Married June 18, 1960; his mother of Avoca; two daughters Cece Riggle and husband Bob of Avoca and Kim Ross and husband Earl of Rogers; one son, James Kirkland of Avoca; one brother, Gerald Kirkland of Rogers; one sister, Barbie Foster of Harrison; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held April 28 at Blaylock Cemetery with the Rev. Marvin Stephens officiating.
Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
