DONOVAN D. KIRKLAND
Donovan Dewitt Kirkland, 72, of 316 W. Maple, Springdale, died Nov. 11, in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 19, 1907, in Lone Rock, Ark., he was the son of Leondus and Frances Horn Kirkland. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Springdale, retired farmer and motel operator.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jule Webb Kirkland of the home, to whom he was married April 12, 1930, in West Plains, Mo.; two sons, Theo L. Kirkland of Harrison and Glen K. Kirkland of Springdale; four daughters, Mrs. Frankie Counts of Biloxi, Miss., Mrs. Gula Sue Welch of Alta Loma, Calif., Mrs. Polly Martin and Mrs. Neva Joe Newmann of Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Hudson and Miss Nellie Kirkland of Cotter and Mrs. Frances Meyer of Newport, 15 grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. today in Sisco Chapel with the Rev. Paul Rains officiating. Burial was in Gentry Cemetery under direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel, Springdale.
Pallbearers were Steven Counts, Bryan and James Kirkland, Raymond Razor, Jimmy Webb and Patrick Welch.
