FORMER CENTERTON RESIDENT DIES AT WICHITA, KANS.
Funeral services for Charles John Stone, aged 75 years, four months, and 25 days, former Bentonville carpenter and contractor and resident of Centerton, near here, who died at his home at Wichita, Kansas, Thursday, Jan. 30, 1936, were held at the Centerton cemetery at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, where interment was made. The service was conducted by the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of Centerton. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Callison-McKinney Funeral Services of Bentonville which took the body in charge Sunday morning upon its arrival from Wichita accompanied by one of Mr. Stone’s daughters and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Moore of Springfield, Mo. A funeral service had been held at Wichita.
Mr. Stone was born at Cedartown, Polk County, Georgia, Sept. 5, 1860. Beside his wife he is survived by one son, Hurley Stone of Wichita, and three daughters, the former Miss Alleen, Flora, and Frances Stone, residing in other states.
