Monday, July 14, 1930
Thomas M. Green, 56, a former Rogers resident, died at his home west of Avoca at 11:30 a.m. Sunday after a long illness. Mr. Green was a resident of Rogers for 15 years, during which time he was engaged in various activities, being a mail carrier for the greater part of the time. Funeral services were held at 11 o'clock Monday morning at New Home cemetery, north of Bentonville, with A.D. Callison in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucinda Green.

{from Tuck's Chapel) Funeral services were conducted at the New Home church Monday morning at 11:00 o'clock for Tom Green who passed away at his home here Sunday morning after a lingering illness. Mr. Green was a devoted husband and a fine neighbor and all regret his going and sympathize with the bereaved wife in her sorrow.
