Queen Ester “Honey” Keaton, the daughter of the late Willie “Hawk” Johnson, Sr. and Lillie Bell (Young) Selmon was born March 16, 1924 in Ulm, Arkansas. Queen Ester, better known as “Honey” Keaton joined Wofford Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Frank Reams. She departed this life on Friday, September 18, 2009 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Arkansas. She was united in holy matrimony to the late James A. Keaton, Sr. To this union nine children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Keaton, Sr.; three daughters: Ora M. Coleman, Ester M. Keaton, and Baby April Keaton; two sisters: Minnie Mae Hogan and Mildred Johnson; and one brother: Willie “Hawk” Johnson, Jr. She leaves to cherish her loving memory two daughters: Mrs. Lillie M. Langford of Huntsville, Alabama and Shirlene Cokes (Jewel) of Casscoe, Arkansas; four sons: James A. Keaton, Jr. of Stuttgart, Arkansas, Terry Lee Keaton (Carrie) of Holy Grove, Arkansas, Augustine Keaton, Sr. (Laura) of San Jose, California, and John Ralph Keaton (Beverly) of West Memphis, Arkansas; one brother: Edgar “Mann” Johnson of Lookout, Arkansas; two brother-in-laws: Lester “Mutt” Hogan, Sr., and Leotis Keaton both of Stuttgart, Arkansas; and one sister-in-law: Aurelia Keaton of Chicago, Illinois; thirty-three grandchildren, fifty-three great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Friday at Bible Believers House of Faith from 5 til 7pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday September 26, 2009 At 2:00 pm.
