STAR CITY -- Judy Irene Brewster Pevey, 62, of Star City, died Tuesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff. She was born July 2, 1943, at Star City, a daughter of the late John Harvey Brewster and Leona Webb Brewster. She retired from School Apparel at Star City. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church at Star City. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Annabelle Brewster and Bernice Brewster White; and one grandchild. Survivors include her husband, Richard Pevey Sr.; three sons, Richard "Ricky" Pevey Jr., Johnny Pevey and Tim Pevey, all of Star City; one daughter, Rita Pevey Pitts of Little Rock; four brothers, Royce Brewster of Bowie, Md., Curt Brewster of Rolla, Mo., John Brewster of Las Vegas and James Loy Brewster of Wascom, Texas; two sisters, Emma Orr of Alton, Ill., and Bobbie Ann Ragan of Rolla; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Griffin Funeral Service at Star City with Bruce Cox officiating. Burial will be in Best Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Judy Pevey Memorial Fund at Pine Bluff National Bank. Pine Bluff Commercial
