JONESBORO -- Selma Buchman, 85, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Jan. 9, in St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was born at Cape Girardeau, Mo., and lived at Jonesboro for three years, moving to Jonesboro from Paragould.

She was a homemaker and member of Temple Israel.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Buchman; her parents, William Samuels and Fannie Sorkin Samuels; and one granddaughter, Sarah Buchman.

Survivors include one son, Marty Buchman and his wife Sue Kibiloski Buchman of Paragould; two daughters, Rosaland Kahn of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Susan Havens and her husband John of Paragould; three brothers, Bernard Samuels of Hollywood, Fla., David Samuels of St. Louis and Alvin Samuels of Austin, Texas; one sister, Bernice Bloom of Denver; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Temple Israel Cemetery with Charlie Katz and Will Samuels officiating.

Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.
