TILLAR — Yvonne Baker, 68, of Tillar, died Tuesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff. She was born Feb. 3, 1938, a daughter of the late William Brigham Jr. and Mattie Brigham.
She graduated from high school at Magnolia. She was also a graduate of Arkansas AM&N College (now the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff), where she was a music major. She was a member of the Christian Fellowship Center Worldwide Church of God at Pine Bluff.
Survivors include her husband, Oliver Baker; five sons, Dr. Oliver Keith Baker of Newport News, Va., James Wesley Baker and Christopher Charles Baker, both of Tillar, Tony Erwin Baker of Beaumont, Texas, and Dr. John Mark Baker of Haywood, Calif.; four daughters, Bridgette Baker Dancy of Houston, Sharron Olivia Stanford and Angelia Yvette Oden, both of Greenville, S.C., and Connie Diane Smith of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Barbara Jean Black and Vivian Ann Brigham, both of Memphis; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Bethlehem Worship Center at Dumas. Burial will be in New Light Cemetery at Tillar by Serenity Gardens Funeral Services at Dumas.
