WALNUT RIDGE -- Presnell Floyd, 81, of Walnut Ridge, died Friday, Feb. 11, at his home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

WALNUT RIDGE -- Presnell Floyd, 81, of Walnut Ridge died Friday, Feb. 11, at his residence.

Born at Sikeston, Mo., he lived in Walnut Ridge for about 80 years. He was a retired owner of Floyd's Body Shop. He was an Army veteran of World War II and member of Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Esther Lamb Floyd of the home; one daughter, Sonyia Floyd Hartwell of Arlington, Texas; one son, Randy K. Floyd of Walnut Ridge; two brothers, Joe Floyd and Glendal Floyd, both of Walnut Ridge; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Esther Smith Floyd.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at House-Gregg Funeral Home, with Don R. House officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Phillips, Glen Murphy, Warren Fender, Lee Don Hamilton, Tony Anglin and Danny Hibbard.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Esther Josephine Floyd, 91 of Walnut Ridge, died Friday January 11, 2019 at her residence.

She was born February 20, 1927 in Hoxie, AR to Earl Lamb & Maddie Manning Lamb. Esther was a retired seamstress and of Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Presnell Floyd; sisters, Grace Heard, Ruth Whitmire, Evelyn Rutledge, & Hazel Whitmire; and brothers, Curtis Lamb, Cletus Lamb, & Jack Lamb.

She is survived by daughter, Sonyia (Mike) Hartwell of Sonoma, AZ; son, Randy (Sarah) Floyd of Walnut Ridge; sisters, Opal Christenson, Lilly Mae Whitmire, & Iva Atkinson; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Memorial services are 2:00PM Monday January 14, 2019 at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Don House officiating.

The family will hold a private burial.
