Jan.4,1971-Mrs.Louise Edgar Powers, 63, died Monday morning at her home in Rockwall, Texas. A native of Forrest City, she was born here Jan.31, 1907. Her mother was Amanda Edgar and her father was Robert Edward Edgar. Mrs.Powers had spent most of her life in and around Dallas. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Dallas and was a longtime employee of the Baker Hotel. She leaves two brothers, Jim and Buddy Edgar of Forrest City. Her husband, Sam Powers, preceded her in death in 1958. Funeral services were held at Stevens Funeral Home by Rev.Marion Gramling on Thursday with burial in Forrest City Cemetery.
