Clara Koch Forst

Clara Koch Forst, 91, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, in Paris. She was a devoted mother and homemaker and a member of St. Benedict Church, Subiaco, and St. Benedict Mothers’ Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred. She was born Aug. 31, 1917, in Shoal Creek and grew up Prairie View. She and Fred married on May 5, 1942, and raised their family on a farm near Subiaco.
She is survived by five sons, Fred (Joy), Hazel Green of Alabama, Tom of Long Beach, Miss., Sam of Paris, Louis (Marge) of Alexander and Rick (Tammi) of Magnolia; five daughters, Sr. Elise of Fort Smith, Barbara (Rob) Stelle of Blanchard, Okla., Marcia (Hank) Nicko of Central City, Dorothy and Donna of Paris; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edward Koch of Prairie View, Dennis Koch of Central City and Ray Koch of Fort Smith; and one sister, Jule Rogers of Prairie View.
Pall bearers will be Phil Wood and grandsons, Robert Stelle II, Matthew, Josh and Alan Forst and Will Nicko. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Sandra Varner, Julie Yates, Manda Wood, Gwen Stelle, Amie Chrisman, Tara, Kelsey, Kaitlyn and Alexandra Forst.
