Willard F. Pinson, 90, of Rudy died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, in a local nursing home. Mr. Pinson was born Oct. 3, 1916, in Rudy to Sam and Lizzie Pinson. He was a retired munitions supervisor at Fort Bliss, Texas, and he retired from the Alma School System, where he drove a school bus for 16 years. He was a member of Fine Springs Masonic Lodge No. 439, Rudy Baptist Church and was a city councilman in Rudy. He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Pinson.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Pauline of the home; three sons, Sam of Van Buren, Keith and wife Teresa of Searcy and Gary of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, Brian of Houston and Jonathan of Searcy; and three great-granddaughters, Kyleigh, Makenzie and Chaselyn, all of Houston.
Willard “Papa” Pinson will always be remembered by his contagious smile and his love for the Razorbacks. He was a friend to many and admired and looked up to by his grandchildren. He led an incredible life; his stories of times gone by and his genuine love of people will be missed but not forgotten. Memories will be shared with generations to come.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. today at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Newberry Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bill, Bert, James, Tommy, Jimmy and Doyle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Walt, Charles, Bill, Albert, Bob, Ron and John.

RUDY — Pauline “Polly” Pinson, 79, of Rudy died Sunday, June 8, 2008, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born April 11, 1929, in St. Paul. She was a homemaker, a member of Rudy Baptist Church and the widow of Willard Pinson.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Newberry Cemetery in Alma.
She is survived by three sons, Sam of Van Buren, Keith of Rudy, and Gary of Fayetteville; two sisters, Jerri of Ontario, Calif., and Dolline of St. Paul; two brothers, Earl of Heber Springs and Harlen of Phoenix; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bert, Bill, James, James, Jimmy and Doyle.
