{from The Fayetteville Daily News, Tuesday} Mrs. Minerva Stearns, wife of Stinson Stearns, died yesterday at her home about four miles north of town. She was born in Randolph county, Mo. in 1822 and was married in 1842. Soon after the couple moved to Osceola, Mo. where Mr. Stearns operated a tan yard until the breaking out of the war. In 1866 he and his family moved to his county where they have since resided. Several children survive to mourn the loss of their devoted mother: Mrs. Jeff Mullens, Mrs. Garland Phillips, Cyrus P., John W., Charles S., Bettie and Mose. The remains were interred at Gerring's chapel this afternoon, a multitude of friends having gathered to pay the last duties of friendship to a cherished neighbor. {The News tenders sympathy to the sorrowing family.}
