Clara L. Combs, 74, of Lowell, died Sunday in the Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville. She was born July 12, 1905 at Clifty.

She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a lifetime resident of the area.

Mrs. Combs a survived by a son, Eldon Combs of Springdale; a daughter, Margaret Rifenbark of Ozark, Mo.; two brothers, Clarance, Ray of Lowell and Gene Ray of Springdale; four sisters, Ada Liebl of Loyal, Okla., Edna Hooten of Springdale, Freda Herron and Frances White, both of Bentonville; three-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Sisco Chapel in Springdale with interment in the Rogers Cemetery.

Avery Combs, 80, Rt. 1, Lowell, died April 21 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born March 24, 1897 at Drake's Creek, he was the son of William Clayton and Paralie Higgins Combs, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clara Ray Combs of the home; one son, Eldon Combs, Springdale; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Margaret) Rifenbark, Ozark, Mo.; two brothers, Hershel Combs, Pea Ridge, and Arnold Combs, Seminole, Okla., two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Harlan, Rogers, and Mrs. Grace Graham, Jay, Okla.; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.
