BELLA VISTA — Ruth C. Anderson, 81, of Bella Vista died Jan. 29, 2002, at her home. She was born Jan. 6, 1921, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Carl and Frances Speak. She began her career as a cosmetic clerk while in high school and retired as a jewelry buyer for Gibson's in Amarillo, Texas. She moved to Bella Vista in 1985 and was a member of the Bella Vista Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Glen Anderson of Bella Vista; one daughter, Dinah Baer of Bella Vista; one son, Timothy Bear of Amarillo; one stepson, Robert Anderson of Lincoln, Neb.; one stepdaughter, Mary Engle and husband Gene of Norfolk, Neb.; one sister, Norma Richards of Sylvania, Ohio.

Burial will to at 2 p.m Thursday at Bella Vista Cemetery.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Bella Vista Christian Church. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Bella Vista Christian Church Mission Fund, 103 Riordan Road, Bella Vista, 72714.
