Son of John Singleton & Sarah (Cooper) Finley and husband to Annie M. (Averitt) Finley. They had one daughter, Ollie. After Annie's death he married Hettie Rogenous 'Jean' McClinton. Children from this marriage: Audie Faye, William Thuman, Jeff, Lurlee, Charles Austin, Erma Jo, and Henry Dale.
