Mildred Marie Carlton, 89, of Jacksonville went home to be with Jesus and family members there waiting for her Wednesday, April 17, 2019. She was born December 25, 1929 in West Monroe, Louisiana to the late Walter and Myrtle Tucker Oliver. Mrs. Carlton loved the Lord and was a member of Marshall Road Baptist Church. Her children and her family were the joy of her life. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carlton was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Johnny Carlton; a son, Richard (Ricky) Carlton; grandson, David Brown; great grandsons, Ethan and Baby Boy Collins; sisters, Mary Narwick, Jean Van Houten and Evelyn Duchin; brother, Carlton Oliver and son-in-law, Rafael Jimenez.

Mrs. Carlton is survived by sons, John Carlton of Cabot and Kenny Carlton of Jacksonville; daughters, Ilene Collins and Loretta Gail Jimenez, both of Jacksonville and Katherine Baker of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Johnny Collins of Jacksonville, Michael Collins of Bryant, Shane Jimenez of Fort Worth, Texas, Dewey Carlton II of Magnolia, Delaware and Brad Carlton of Cabot; great grandchildren, Jessica Furrow, Katelyn, Kinzley and Kadence Collins, Skylar Brown, Kierstyn Carlton and Isabella Carlton, Carlos Hernandez, Miguel Jimenez, John Carlton III, Kyler Stevens and Jardon Woodworth and great-great granddaughter, Wylie.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home (501)982-2136.
