Helen G. Triplitt, 92, of Blue Island, Ill., died Jan. 28, 2010, in Blue Island. Born in Portia, she grew up in Walnut Ridge and spent most of her adult years in Jonesboro.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and four brothers. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Funeral is today at 9 a.m. at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Matt Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Park.

Helen G. Triplitt, age 92, passed away January 28, 2010 in Blue Island, IL. She was a long-time resident of the state of Arkansas where she was born in Portia and grew up in Walnut Ridge. Helen spent most of her adult years in Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, and four brothers. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Jonesboro.

Helen is survived by one daughter, a son-in-law, two grandchildren, a nephew, and extended family members.

Visitation will be at Emerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 2 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Services will be held on Wednesday morning at 9:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Reverend Matt Smith will officiate.

Interment will follow at Lawrence Memorial Cemetery in Walnut Ridge.

Donations may be sent to one’s preferred charity.
