Virginia Knoll Renschler
Part-time Sheridan resident Virginia Knoll Renschler, 90, of Arkansas County, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Almyra (Ark.) Cemetery with arrangements by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart, Ark. Mrs. Renschler was born April 12, 1915, in Almyra to Metta and George Knoll. She was a former board member of First United Methodist Church and a Sunday school superintendent. In recent years she lived part of each year in Sheridan and owned a ranch here, according to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph; a daughter, Bonnie; and a son, George. Survivors include two daughters, Ileene Watkins of Little Rock, Ark., and Loretta Fontenot of El Dorado, Ark.; a sister, Georgia Etta Jackson of Holly Grove, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Nature Conservancy, Ducks Unlimited, Grand Prairie Evangelical Methodist Church, Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie, or a recipient of the donor's choice.
