Norma L. Covington, 96, of Mt. Home went to her heavenly home Monday, Sep 8, 2008. A funeral will be 2PM Friday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jimmie Snow officiating. Visitation will be noon to 9PM Thursday at Roller Funeral Home with family receiving friends 6-8PM.
She was born Jan 2, 1912, in Buford to Henry Lee and Nancy Belle (Roberts) Knight. She married Wallace Walton Covington Dec 20, 1931, in Buford. She was a homemaker and a member of the Twin Lakes Church of the Nazarene. Norma dearly loved her family and was loved by all who knew her.
Mrs. Covington is survived by her son, Dean Covington of Buford; daughter Ina (Ronald) Wernsman of Metamora, IL; granddaughter Kathy (Jerry) Stuckle of Mt. Home, who was raised by Norma and Wallace; nine other grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, including Angela (Daniel) Berry of Buford and Sean (Carey)Fletcher of Flippin; one sister, Lavon Schuster of Metamora; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Melba Swingle; four grandchildren, Darren Wernsman, Betty Swingle, Wally Swingle and Tonya Gower; and three brother, Dale,Gale and Tilman Knight.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery at Buford. Memorials may be made to the family, Hospice of the Ozarks or a charity o choice.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
