John Wesley Inman, 72, Rt. 1, Decatur, was killed instantly July 21 at his farm when the tractor he was riding to operate a brush-hog overturned and crushed him. Born March 1, 1903, at Alamogordo, N.M., he was the son of Joe Wesley and Serilda Lewis Inman and a member of Gentry Church of Christ. He moved to Decatur in 1951 and was a member of Gentry Masonic Lodge 222, Key Lodge 7 of Siloam Springs and OES 359 of Gentry.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Billie Inman of the home; one son, Benny Inman, Decatur; one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Franks, Decatur; two step-daughters, Mrs. Jim Fishback and Mrs. John Clark, Dallas, Tex.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Gentry Church of Christ with Ted Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery under the direction of Callison-McKinney Funeral Home of Gravette.
