Morrell Juitt Woods of Norfork died Wednesday, Nov 26, 2008. He was born Feb 18, 1948, in Baxter County to Lloyd Morrell Woods and June (Jeffery) Woods. Morrell loved the Ozark Mountains and the way of life. After graduating in 1966 from Norfok High School, he volunteered for service in the US Army. He served in the Vietnam War as a paratrooper in the 173rd Airborne. He was awarded two Bronze Stars for bravery in action and was wounded twice, receiving two Purple Hearts. returning home to the Ozarks, he chose to make a living doing what he love. He and his wife opened Woodsman's Sport Shop and Fishing Service, Inc. and raised two children in the area. He shared his life and enthusiasm willingly with family and friends. His dry wit matched his sparkling intellect. He traveled the globe numerous times, always returning to the Ozarks and the life he loved.

He is survived by his mother, June (Jeffery) Woods of Mt. Home; wife Cheryl (Deakins) Woods of the home; two children, Kendra Woods of Norfork and Levi Woods of Van Buren; eight grandchildren; his sisters Pamela (Woods) Harris of Henderson and Iva (Woods) Lackovic of Springfield, MO; and extended family living outside the area, including Nedra (Wood) Arsenault of Canada and Cyntiia Orano and Valerie Gordon, both of CA.
