Wayne L. Young, 62, a lifetime resident of Norfork died Sunday at White River Convalescent Center in Calico Rock. A heavy equipment operator in construction, he was a member of Jehovah Witnesses.
Mr. Young was born April 8, 1916, at West Plains, MO, the son of the late Jim and Essie Louins Young. He married the former Leola Loosey on Feb 18, 1942 at Norfork.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, Steve Young and Lynn Eugene Young, both of Norfork and David Wayne Young of Calico Rock; four daughters, Vera Fay Sutterfield of Calico Rock, Shirley Sutterfield of Arkana, Elsie Lynch of Clinton, and Irma Joe Young of Norfork; one brother, C.J. Young of Lewiston, Idaho; two sisters, Lillie May Jolly of Norfork and Ruby Nell Dick of Chickasha, OK; 16 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Old Galatia Methodist Church, officiated by Seth Dickerson.
Pallbearers were Matt Sutterfield, Johnny Sutterfield, Edward Loosey, Clyde Loosey, James Loosey and Dale Stacy.
Interment took place a Galatia Cemetery, under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Mt. Home.
