I.B. (Berry) Young, 67, boat dock operator of Norfork, died Saturday at his residence at Norfork.
Funeral services were held at 2PM Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home Capel in Mt. Home, with Raymond Ward officiating. Interment was in Galatia Cemetery near Norfork, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Young, a native and lifetime resident of Baxter County, was born Dec 25, 1897, at Big
Flat. His parents were George Young and Mary Alexander Young. Mr. Young was proprietor of Young's Trout Dock and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. He was married on June 16, 1924, to the former Essie Jean Harris, who survives him. Other survivors include two brothers, Jim Young of Norfork and George Young of Los Angeles, CA; and two sisters, Mrs. Mandy Minton of Kaiser and Mrs. Martha Wallace of Tulsa, OK.
Pallbearers were Ray Foster, Zion Small, Harold Christian, Johnny Helton, Glenn Gresham and J.W. (Red) Helton.
