A funeral for Nora Elsie Johson will be 10AM today at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Byrd officiating. Mrs. Johnson died Thrusday, Dec 13, 2001, at Good Samartian. She was 88.
She was born Feb 10, 1919, at Alton, MO, to James and Tennie Dills Howell. She married Everett Johnson on Dec 16, 1928, at Alton. She was a resident of Norfork since moving from Alton in 1938. She worked as a cook at Norfork High School. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, quilting, and was an avid dee hunter. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Norfork.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Byrd of Mt. Home; a son, Marlin (Rose) Johnson of Mt. Home; grandchildren, Keith (Jane) Byrd of Kiev, Ukraine, Kathy (Russell) Hutchens of Norfork and Sondra (Ben) McRFarland of Mt. Home; a brother, Ted Howell of Alton; great grandchildren, Shannon (Angel) Byrd of Fort Worth, Texas, Maria (James) Strecker of Mt. Home, Kacey (David) Brown of Conway, Zachary Hutchens of Norfork and Harrision McFarland of Mt. Home; great great grandchildren, Hadley Brown and Olivia Strecker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and three sisters.
Burial will be in Galatia Cemetery with Russell Hutchens, Ben McFarland, Shannon Byrd, James Strecker, David Brown, and Zachary Hutchens as pallbearers.
