FORSYTHE, Jessie DAVIS - Jessie {Davis} Forsythe was born in Marshall Co., Indiana April 16, 1885 and died at her home in Cave Springs December 14, 1914 aged 29 years, 8 months and 2 days. She was married to Lewis Forsythe July 14, 1900 and to this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters. The youngest has passed on before. She had lived in Benton Co. four years. She had been an invalid most of the time and during her short stay among us we learned to love her. She obeyed the Gospel and became a member of the Church of Christ in August 1913. She was conscious until the end and told those with her that all was well. She had no fear of death. She fell asleep as peacefully as a little child who, tired out with the long hours of the day, finds rest in the mother's arms. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Bro. W.H. Sears and then we laid her to rest in the Phillips cemetery N.T.M.
