Joe Lee Combs the husband of Lily Louise (Hall) Combs. Joe Lee Combs the son of Rev. Nathaniel Combs and Susiana (Hefner) Combs. Joe Lee Combs and Lily Louise (Hall) Combs had two sons, Bobby Joe Combs and Larry Wade Combs.

Louise Combs

Louise Combs, 101, of Bourbonnais Illinois and formerly of Walnut Ridge Arkansas passed away on October 6th 2019 at Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home. She was born on December 20th, 1917 in Thayer Missouri.

She married Joe Combs in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1974. Louise owned and operated Alicia’s Café in Alicia Arkansas. She enjoyed playing cards and dominos and watching her beloved St. Louis Cardinals baseball. She knew all the players by name. She loved her family and watching all her grandchildren grow up.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law: Bob and June Combs of Tulsa Oklahoma, Larry and Nancy Combs of Bourbonnais Illinois; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren and another on the way in April.

In addition to her husband Joe Combs, Louise was preceded in death by her parents, one great granddaughter Maison Hall; 5 sisters; and 2 brothers.

Services will be at the Bryan Funeral Home in Hoxie, Arkansas on October 10th from 9am-11am with services to follow at 11am at Bryan Funeral Home with Robert Combs and Richard Combs officiating.

Burial will be at the Strangers Home Cemetery in Alicia, Arkansas. We love you and you will be missed by many. Go Cardinals!
