Ray's parents were Alfred Theodore and Martha Jane (Milligan) Walker. Helen the daughter of Alexander and Bessie (Evans) Baker.
Helen L. Walker, 88, of Saffell, a longtime resident of Harrisburg, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at the Cave City Nursing Home.
Mrs. Walker was born Jan. 5, 1921, at Cash to the late Alexander and Bessie Evans Baker. She was united in marriage on Dec. 23, 1951, to Ray C. Walker at the Main Street Church of Christ in Walnut Ridge. She was a member of Strawberry Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters; and four brothers.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Clarence Fry of Saffell and Anita and David Swayne of Watkinsville, Ga.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Clint and Norma Walker of Cabot, Dennis and Becky Walker of Ardmore, Okla., and Bobby Walker of Prairie Grove; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Interment was in Penn Cemetery. Mrs. Walker's grandsons and nephews will serve her as pallbearers.
