Daughter of James and Mary Newton Simpson.
Married Tom Harris Lackey, December 17, 1924, Norfork, Baxter County, Arkansas.

Ellen Lackey, 89, of Kingsville, MO, died Friday (Oct. 8, 1993) at Lee summit, MO.
visitation is from noon-9PM today with the family receiving friends 6-8PM at the Roller Funeral Home.
Services will be at 2PM Tuesday at the Norfork Church of Christ with Bro. Don Pfalser officiating. Burial will be at the Galatia Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Lackey, a longtime Norfork resident, was born March 14, 1904 in Zanoni, MO. She married Tom Harris Lackey on Dec 17, 1924 at Norfork. She was a member of the Norfork Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Cadamus Lackey of LaCygne, KS, Lynn Lackey of Olathe, KS and Jack Lackey of Kansas City, MO; six dauthers, Mary Lee Nelson of Knngsville, MO, Clora Lou McGinnis of Miami, FL, Fannie Sanders of Harrisonville, MO, Vista Bowers of Stillwell, KS, Joan Bake of Oak Grove, MO and Gwen Hall of Mt. Home; one sister, Oma Vogt of St. Louis, MO; 27 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents, James and Mary Newton Simpson, her husband, Tom Harris Hackey, three brothers and four sisters.
