Daughter of Joseph Baron Martz and Mary Lavinia "Polly" (Perrin) Martz.


WATERFORD, Mich. - Sibyl Martz Tripp, 82, of Waterford, formerly of Saffell, died Monday, June 28.

She was retired from General Motors Truck and Bus and Fisher Body Division and was a member of United Auto Workers Local No. 653 for more than 30 years. She attended Central United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Lewis Tripp of Milford, Mich., and Lawrence Tripp of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and a grandson, Jesse Patrick Tripp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge, with A.J. Stracener officiating. Burial will follow in Ward Cemetery at Strawberry.

Active pallbearers will include Joe Martz, Lloyd Martz, Larry Sexton, Darrell Sexton, Oneal Sexton, David King, Scotty Sexton and Jimmy Bell.

Honorary pallbearers will include Jesse Tripp, Charles David Sexton, Larry Daniel Abbott and Larry King.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Ward Cemetery Fund, in care of Preston Gray, 522 South Main St., Strawberry 72469.
