William F. Allen
CLIFTY - William Fred Allen, 86, of Clifty died Sept. 15, 1999, at his home. He was born Nov. 5, 1912, at Clifty to William Clarence and Mary Frances Ames Allen. He was a farmer, a World War II Army veteran and was a member of the Colbaugh Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Lee Graham Allen, on June 15, 1984.
Survivors include one daughter, Zella Mae Vaughan of Clifty; one brother, Jim Allen of Hindsville; five grandchildren including Phillip Vaughan and Michael Vaughan and Debbie Phillips, all of Clifty; nine great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Clifty Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Dean Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Clifty Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Hadley, Shade Hadley, Gene Gardner, Dean Outland, Bill Poorboy and Gary Bohannan.
